Fluorescent lighting provides cool light and is cool to the touch. It's an economical choice for any large amount of space, like a living room. A new option to lighting is xenon. It comes in an incandescent bulb that contains xenon gas. The bulbs last long and the light is bright, but it's not as energy efficient as halogen bulbs or compact fluorescent.
