The Purple Color In Home Decorating

Purple is a rare color and not widely used in interior decorating.  The popular tint of purple that's used is lavender.  It’s a great color for baby rooms.  Purple is a bit universal and can go with a boy and a girl theme.  Violet is calming and will let a child go to sleep easier. 

In general, purple is a creative, idea driven color.  It’s great for accents in libraries or offices.  Some good combinations with purple are purple, yellow and white, purple turquoise and white, purple and pink, purple and yellow.
