Christmas Tree Trio Card
This is one of the easiest handmade cards to make yourself. Decorating it with glitter is what makes it look finished. You will need: construction paper, patterned wrapping paper, two or three different green pieces of fabric, star stickers, glitter glue pens and printed out "Merry Christmas" strip of paper.
Decorating Tools: scissors, pencil, glue stick.
1. Get 11" by 6.5" piece of red, green or white construction paper and fold it in half. Now you have a 6.5" by 5.5" card. Make the two edges face you. Cut out a 6.5" by 5.5" piece of patterned wrapping paper and glue it on top of the card.
2. Take two or three pieces of green fabric and sketch simple Christmas trees on it. They should be less than three inches tall and not more than two inches wide. Cut out the trees and lay them on top of the card. It will look better if they overlap a little. Keep arranging the tree shapes until you like the layout. Glue the fabric trees to the card.
3. Put red, green or yellow star stickers on top of the trees. Make small dots on the trees using glitter glue pen. Those can be silver, gold, red and green. Let the glitter glue dry.
4. Print out a 2.5" by .5" green and white Merry Christmas sign and glue it to the top of the card. The sign should be about .5" away from card's edge. Pick out a script or bubbly type for this happy card.
Another option for decorating this card is using rhinestones instead of glitter. If you do not have fabric, use green construction paper.
