Patterned Merry Christmas Card This handmade Christmas card is one of the easiest cards to make. You can use any holiday decorations you have laying around the house. To make it you will need: red construction paper, patterned wrapping paper, gold ribbons and printed out "Merry Christmas" strip of paper. Decorating Tools: scissors, glue stick.
1. Get 12" by 6" piece of red construction paper and fold it in half. Now you have a 6" by 6" card. Make the two edges face you. Cut a square of patterned wrapping paper 4.25" by 4.25". Center the square on the card and glue it down. 2. Cut two gold ribbons that are .5" wide. Make each ribbon be 6" long. Glue the two ribbons to the card leaving .5" from the top and bottom of the card's edge.
3. Cut out a square of red construction paper 2" by 2". Center it on top of the wrapping paper square and glue it down. 4. Print out a Merry Christmas strip of paper. It should be a 1.25" by 1.25" square. Make the letters red to match the card itself. The background should be ivory or white. Center the strip on top of the red construction paper square. Glue it down. |
