Merry Christmas With An Ornament Card This Merry Christmas card is all about the ribbons. Just put an ornament on top and you have a one of a kind creation. To make it you will need: white or ivory construction paper, patterned ribbons or strips of wrapping paper, glitter glue pen, a small ornament and printed out "Merry Christmas" strip of paper. Decorating Tools: scissors, glue stick, scotch tape, hole punch.
1. Get 9" by 5.5" piece of white or ivory construction paper and fold it in half. Now you have 5.5" by 4.5" card. Make the two edges face you. Cut two strips of patterned ribbon or wrapping paper 5.5" by .75" and one that's 5.5" by .25". Arrange them on the card so that you have enough space for the printed Merry Christmas. Glue all three strips in place when you like your arrangement. If the edges of the strips hang off the card, trim them off. 2. Print out a Merry Christmas strip of paper. It should be about 4" by 1". The background is white and the letters are red. The letters can be big or small, but should fit within the strip of paper. Pick script as your type, because it looks fancy. Glue the strip of paper between the ribbons, aligned to the right side of the card.
3. Make a small hole in the top left corner of the card using hole punch. String through the ornament's strands and scotch tape them to the other side of the card. 4. Take gold glitter glue pen and have fun with it. Make small dots around the letters or stripes between the ribbons. Let your creativity shine here. Give the glitter time to dry. Another option for decorating this card is instead of an ornament use buttons, a fancy pin, hang an earring, or any other decorating elements you find around the house. |
