Jeweled Ribbon Ornament
Jeweled ribbon ornament is a great addition to any Christmas tree. This ornament is handmade, but looks like it was bought in the store. To make it you will need: a gold or silver ribbon, jewels in two colors, and thin string.
Decorating Tools: tape measure, scissors, sewing needle.
1. Take a thin 1/8" wide pink string. Cut a piece 11.5" long. Put the string through a large sewing needle and make a knot at one end of the string.
2. Get 12 pearls or jewels of two different colors and sizes. I used 6 pink and 6 ivory pearls .25" and .5" in diameter. Put the string through a small pearl. Take a gold or silver decorating ribbon 1.5" wide. Cut a piece 28" long. After putting the pink string through a small pearl, put the pink string through ribbon leaving .5" edge hanging. Now put the string through a large pearl. Put the string through the ribbon again, so that 2.5" of the ribbon make a loop to the right (see picture). Put the string through a small pearl, then put the string through the ribbon yet again, so that 2.5" of the ribbon make a loop to the left (see picture). Repeat this process until you use up all 12 pearls.
3. Cut the edge of the ribbon once you make the last loop. Take the needle out of pink string and fold it in half. Tie a knot very close to the last pearl to create a hook to hang the ornament.
